Spacer

Spacer is a small dental device that is usually installed when a baby tooth is extracted.  A 11-year-old boy has been our patient for the last 5 years.  When 2 of  his bad baby teeth have to be taken out, spacers (Fig.1 S) are placed immediately to keep space for the permanent teeth (P) to erupt.  With the proper treatment, his permanent teeth are well aligned when they come out (Fig.2).
