Oral Hygiene in Pregnancy
A 32-year-old woman is 8 months pregnant (Fig.1). She presents to clinic for cleaning to maintain her excellent oral hygiene. In contrast, some of women are reluctant to have cleaning before and during pregnancy in spite of the fact that their oral hygiene is bad. Bad germs from the gums may travel through mother's blood system to infect the developing baby!
