Fig.3 There are severe buccal gingival defects  (<).  Implant threads may be exposed if the implant is placed immediately after extraction.  In fact, the big black hole inside the socket is the opening toward the sinus.  A hemoStatic Gauze (Regenerated cellulose) is used to cover the wound to help healing (Fig.3').
