Fig.3 Exam shows that the tooth has a lot of wear and tear. In the middle of the tooth is the yellowish dentin (D) without covering of enamel (E, whitish). Additionally, there are no normal structures a young molar should have, such as cusps and ridges (R in Fig.3'). The most striking feature of this worn tooth is a distinct crack line (arrowheads). The area with * in the young molar (Fig.3') is still covered by thin layer of enamel. Less yellowish dentin is discernible, as compared to that in Fig.3.
