Does an Implant Work like a Tooth?

Mrs. White has one missing bottom front tooth, which is pretty small (Fig.1 *).  After braces, she wears a clumsy, inconvenient flipper for several years.  Finally she agrees to have an implant (Fig.2 I) and crown (C) placed.  She has been very pleased with the implant in the last four years.  There is no difference between the implant crown and her remaining natural teeth in appearance and chewing to the patient (Fig.3).  It is cute, fixed like our own tooth.
