Immediate Partial (Denture)

A 51-year-old woman has an old bottom temporary partial to replace 1 missing front tooth and 7 back ones (Fig.1 (1, *)).  A 2nd front tooth will be removed (Fig.2 (2)) because of looseness (Fig.3).  For cosmetic reason, a new partial is made before hand.  Once the loose tooth is removed (Fig.5), the new immediate temporary partial is seated so that nobody else knows that she has lost a front tooth.  Additionally, the immediate denture protects the wound (Fig.7,8).  She is able to resume chewing quick.
