"Implant is Very Helpful"
Mrs. Pei has lost a lower left molar for a long period of time (Fig.1 *). She cannot chew on the left side. She is determined to have an implant (Fig.2 I). The surgery is successful. Mrs. Pei has no pain. A few months later, a crown is placed on the top of the implant (Fig.3 C) so that she can eat normally. The implant has been in her mouth for 1.5 years. When she returns for cleaning, she happily reports that she can eat anything she wants, including meat and bone.
