     1. Why do we have to remake the provisional?

-Provisional coverage is a protective temporary (tooth) covering that is a placed.

          2. What do you expect to see when he returns?

-Could be that the applied cement is not mixed evenly and pops out or the temporary crown position is not sitting well

          3. What do you prepare for the remake?

-Local Anesthetic set up (if needed)

-Cotton rolls and gauze sponges

-Retraction cord and cord packing instrument

-Temporary crown forms

-Dappen Dish, acrylic powder, acrylic liquid and acrylic burl

-Articulating paper and holder

-Temporary cement, mixing pad, spatula instrument, and spoon curette

-Dental Floss

-Shade guide (for the tooth colored)

Update:

  Why do we have to remake the provisional?
-To promote progressive that heals and strengthens the bone around the
implant as the restoration becomes functional.

-Make sure implant is secured. A provisional restoration makes the
quality of the restoration feel natual but look realistic.
