Fig.43 (left posterior lateral view, 5.5 month post bracketing, 16x22 ss).  The tooth #18 is mesioangularly impacted.  Space is expected to upright the tooth.  The space will be gained by mesialization of the tooth #20 first and #19 next.

Premature banding or bracketing at the tooth #18 may lead to abnormal placement.  It has probably happened on the other side, #31.
