Inferior Alveolar Canal
A 52-year-old man requests extraction of the tooth #17 with severe chronic periodontitis. The socket is large and communicates apparently with the Inferior Alveolar Canal (Fig.1 N). Heavy granulation is removed except the most apical. Two pieces of Collagen Plug are inserted, followed by 4-0 Chromic gut suture. It is expected that ossification occurs in the coronal socket in 3-4 months.
