Sedative Filling

A 48-year-old man with poor dentition and financial constraint returns for treatment.  His complaint appears to be related to #18 DO caries/pulpitis (Fig.1).  After #17 surgical extraction, #18 caries is removed with pulpal exposure. The majority of the distal surface of the distal root of #18 is exposed.   IRM is placed.  Osteogen plug is inserted at #17 with 4-0 Chromic suture.
