Limited Vertical Height

A 76-year-old lady (smoker) loses the upper left bridge.  The vertical height is limited, particularly for the teeth #8 and 11, when the crowns and bridge are fabricated (Fig.1).  Implants (bone-level, most likely) will be placed at the sites of #9,10 and 12 (Fig.2).  They will be placed as apical as possible.  The patient should be a heavy bruxer, as indicated by tori mandibularis (Fig.3 *).  Occlusal equilibrium is to be done with care.  PAs are to be taken prior to the surgery for design.
