Overload
Mrs. Goh (71 years old) has lost 4 upper molars (Fig.1,6). The 1st sign of overload is increased periodontal space around the tooth #13 (Fig.1 *). The best way to tackle the overload is to place 4 implants. The 1st step is for the site of #14 (Fig.2: design; Fig.3: 4.5x11 mm tap; Fig.4: 5x11 mm implant). The 2nd sign of overload is repeated dislodgement of the implant supported crown. The 3rd sign of overload is bone loss around the implant 6 months post cementation (Fig.5 *). The 4th sign of overload is subgingival crown fracture of the tooth #5 (Fig.6).
