The buccal margin of the provisional is trimmed, while the mesial contact is added (>) 3 weeks postop (Fig.7) with granulation tissue having formed in the distobuccal aspect of the socket (*).  The buccal margin of the final restoration should be further adjusted more coronally to match that of #5.
