The immediate bridge (Fig.4) not only restores appearance, but also cover the wounds.  *: swollen and infected gums after cleaning up.  The dashed line indicates the extra portion of the temporary bridge to cover the wound/socket.  The extra part will be trimmed off when the wound heals and shrinks.
