CT shows that an implant to be placed can be as large as 7x17 mm (Fig.3 (sagittal section)).  When the implant placed is large, the access to underlying bony defect is limited (arrows).   It is preferable to place bone graft (red circles) prior to implant placement.  Pink curved lines: interdental papillae.
