Bone loss seems to be the most severe around the mesiobuccal root (Fig.2 *), from which the osteotomy should stay away (Fig.3). It may be the safest to place an implant in the palatal socket, leaned as buccally as possible so that the coronal end of the implant will be in the center of the extraction socket. Re-measure the palatal socket length from PA and Pan: 8.5 and 10 mm, respectively. The implant length should be around 10 mm. Place bone graft before the final tap and take X-ray.
