Tapered taps are used to form osteotomy; the largest one (Fig.3 T: 8x17 mm) barely achieve stability. There is a gap between the tap and one, especially in the upper portion, suggesting that a cylindrical implant of the same diameter should be able to close the gap.

The largest cylindrical tap (6.8x14 mm) has no stability.  Fortunately a 8x17 mm tissue-level implant has insertion torque of 50 Ncm.

PA taken immediately post cementation shows that bone contacts implant threads (Fig.5 (3 months 3 weeks postop)).
