The 7x17 mm implant obliterates the socket mesiodistally; the buccal and lingual gaps are filled with bone graft, followed by a collagen membrane (Fig.6 *) and suture.  A 5x3 mm abutment (A) is placed to keep perio dressing in place.  Otherwise, the dressing is not stable in the distal edentulous area.
