Fig.2: Design of of an immediate implant at the site of the upper right 1st molars (as large as 8x17 mm).  The bone available implantation is about 3.5 mm (referred from the apical diameter of the implant, 5.5 mm).   Although the bone surrounding the diseased roots has been resorbed, the basal bone is dense.  It is difficult to form osteotomy using osteotomes for this case.  With a wide implant, primary stability can be achieved.
