An implant to be placed at #29 can be longer (10 mm (Fig.3) vs. 8 mm at other sites, such as at #30 (Fig.3')). But it may be close to that of the neighboring site (#28). PA is taken after initial osteotomy for parallelism. The apical end of the drill may overlap with the upper border of the Inferior Alveolar Canal.
A 1-piece implant may be used at the site of #30 (Fig.3''). The initial osteotomy using 1.2 mm pilot drill should be along the lingual plate (cortical and medullary junction, Fig.3''' (red line), using a index finger along the lingual plate). The 2nd pilot drill (1.5 mm) goes down 8 mm and 2 mm for 6 mm. When the 1-piece implant (3x10 mm) is being placed, it will push the remaining medullary bone buccally (condensing effect, hopefully without pressure on the canal).
