Osteotomy is initiated with 1.6 mm pilot drill for 13 mm (Fig.4 (red line: the lower border of the sinus floor) and increased by Magic Expanders (ME) and Magic Drills until 4.5x13 mm. A 5x11 mm dummy implant is placed (Fig.5).
There is no sign of sinus membrane perforation intraoperatively. When there is enough bone height and bone density is moderate, it is safe to place a relatively short implant. In this case, final insertion torque is ~ 50 Ncm.
