Implant-Assisted Ortho

Five months post implant placement, a provisional is fabricated at LR4 as an anchorage to mesialize LR5, which also rotates (Fig.4 *).  A space (Fig.1 *) is reserved for LR3 distalization (arrow) and anterior de-crowding (Fig.2,5).

Another absolute anchorage is at LL5 (Fig.5) for distalization of the anterior teeth so that there is no need for an implant at LL4.

When the tooth #29 is uprighted in 2 months, it develops severe pain in spite of occlusal reduction.  It is finally extracted with immediate implant.
