IS Implant

A 87-year-old man loses #19 crown and post recently (Fig.1).  A new implant system will be tried.  It has 2 main features.  There are 2 sets of drills (short and long).  Every time try short ones unless the neighboring teeth are extremely long.  There are several lengths of stoppers (as short as 5.7 mm) so that we do not have to use short stoppers from DIO Sinus Master Kit.  If a sample implant (5x10 mm, Fig.2) does not achieve primary stability, shift to UF, but still use IS drill for 13 mm (Fig.3).  Take preop PA.  Prepare surgical handpiece for sectioning.  Place bone graft to the defect between #18 and 19.
