Fig.9:  Since the 5x9 mm implant has insertion torque >40 Ncm, an angled abutment is placed immediately (A: 5 mm x 15 degree, 4 mm cuff).  There are two purposes for the immediate abutment, to keep bone graft (Fig.10 *) and collagen membrane in place and to reduce suture tension.

Implant threads appear to have been covered by bone coronally (Fig.15 *) and apically (<) 5 months postop.

After cementation (5.5 months postop), PA shows bone regeneration (Fig.21).
