When a 5.5x13 mm implant is placed, it is supracrestal (Fig.3 (<)). It is vulnerable to periimplantitis and loss of bone graft. It is also unfavorable for occlusal clearance. The vertical height for restoration at the 2nd molar is limited. The apical end seems to be close the the superior border of the Inferior Alveolar Canal.
