Sinus Lift Without Micromovement I
A 25-year-old woman had #2 and 18 extracted ~ 1 year ago (Fig.1). Because of the short and loose bone at #2, a short implant will be placed with sinus lift (PRF, Fig.2). If needed, probe mesiobuccal aspect of the osteotomy when it is close to the sinus floor to detect early sinus floor perforation before water lifting. It would be safer to use water lifting after the 1st sinus safe drill is used. Then water lifting and the 2nd sinus safe drill, et al. To reduce micromovement, a healing screw will be most likely placed instead of a healing abutment. In contrast, a healing abutment is possible at #18 (Fig.3).
