Advantage is that an immediate provisional (Fig.2 yellow lines; Fig.3 P) has an ideal emergency profile so that there is less chance of food impaction associated with the future permanent crown.  Red dashed line: mesial and distal crests.   It appears that the mesial portion of bone graft in the mesial gap has been converted to the native bone (lamellar) in 3 months (Fig.4).
