The ridge at #27 is narrow and is reduced ~ 4 mm in height (Fig.1 *) to obtain ~ 4 mm buccolingual width.  A 3x14 mm 1-piece implant with ball abutment is placed (Fig.3).  Since a 1-piece implant with longer cuff is unavailable, the implant is intentionally not placed completely with exposure of microthreads.  The latter are covered with Vanilla/Osteogen (*) and Collagen Membrane.  The implant seems osteotointegrated nearly 4 months postop (Fig.6).
