Ridge Split through Guide
Surgery begins with tissue punch or pointed drill
(Fig.1 white circle) through surgical guide at #28 with the concave buccal plate
(*), followed by initial osteotomy using 2.2 mm drill with guide (Fig.2 small
dot). It may be necessary to remove the guide for ridge split using Magic Split or Tatum bone scalpel or blade
(Fig.3 red line). The buccal bone (Fig.4 red curved line) is
being expanded using a small DIO bone expander (blue circle). The buccal
plate is further expanded buccally with a large expander (Fig.5). Bone graft
(Fig.6 red) is placed buccal.
Implant (Fig.7 green) placement further bone and soft tissue
expansion (pink line).
