Moderate Ridge
The ridge at #30 is not so narrow (Fig.1). Initial depth is 10 mm with 2 mm from the Inferior Alveolar Canal (Fig.2,3 red dashed line). A 4.5x10 mm implant is placed with > 50 Ncm; a 6.2x5(3) mm healing abutment placed (Fig.4). The implant is stable and seems to be ready for impression 3 months postop (Fig.5). CT taken 5 months post cementation shows that the implant could be placed more lingually (Fig.6 (coronal section; B: buccal)). Periradicular radiolucency at #31 (Fig.7 *) is continuous with the Inferior Alveolar neurovascular bundle (N). After extraction, care should be taken to remove granulation tissue. The tooth #32 will be extracted simultaneously because of severe bone loss.
