The periodontal dressing remains in place 2 weeks postop because of engagement into the attachment slot and undercuts (Fig.5). Later the slot is filled with composite before impression. The two retainers will be kept so that it is easy to get a crown at #30 with the slightly infraocclusal surface (less occlusal force). The patient wants to solve food impaction under the pontic of the bridge.
