The socket depth is ~17 mm along the long axis of the socket 2.5 months post extraction (Fig.4, gingival level). If osteotomy were established along the long axis of the socket, limited amount of the apical native bone superior to the Inferior Alveolar Canal could be obtained for primary stability.
