Occlusal Trauma due to Partial
Edentulism
A 49-year-old woman returns to clinic with pain in the lower right related to work stress. There is probing pain #30 DB without deep pockets. Evidence of occlusal trauma to the distal root of the tooth #30 includes increased pdl (Fig.1 D), and root exposure (Fig.3 D). The trauma is related to the cantilever FPD of #38-31 and missing #18 and 19 (Fig.1). It is necessary to place implants at the sites (Fig.2,4). Short implants are expected. Guide should be helpful.
