Surgical Extraction I
A 81-year-old man with upper and lower RPDs (Fig.1) requests extraction of the tooth #11 (Fig.2,3). After discussion, he agrees with socket preservation using Osteogen plug (Fig.4 O). The density at #11 is in fact higher than the neighboring healed socket (#10). Due to failure to transfer the flap to cover the socket and poor oral hygiene, the wound does not heal as well as expected 13 days postop (Fig.5).
