Following 1.5 mm drill for ~ 17 mm, a 3x16(2) mm 1-piece implant is placed >40 Ncm (Fig.3). After bone graft through limited access and abutment preparation, an immediate provisional is fabricated with clearance. Since the periimplant space is large, a 3.5 mm implant should have been placed. Or a 3x14(4) mm 1-piece implant placed deeper. Pain and swelling occur 1.5 years postop, i.e., during coronavirus lockdown (possible periimplantitis). Either change to the larger implant to be placed deep or bone graft with PRF or GEM21S. Take CT first.
