An immediate provisional is fabricated to close the gingival embrasure as much as possible (Fig.5).  Consider reducing the provisional margin (arrow) as early as possible postop.   The margin of the lateral incisor is incisal to that of the central incisor, whereas that of the canine is the most gingival among these 3 anterior teeth.  To close the black triangle, the central incisor needs a new crown.    In fact the patient agrees to have a new crown made for #8 to further close the embrasure.
