Night Guard after Implant with Guided Surgery
A 47-year-old woman requests implant at #3 (Fig.1). There is generalized bone loss with fair oral hygiene. It suggests bruxism. Night guard will be recommended. The patient appreciates the opportunity of having an implant with guided surgery (Fig.2). In fact the root tip of the upper right 2nd premolar curves distal. A 5x11.5 mm implant placed has limited clearance. The blood supply may be compromised.
While waiting for the surgical guide, the tooth #15 has periodontal infection (Fig.1). Immediate implant will be done first.
