To remove the subgingival residual root of the tooth #12, buccal flap is raised, which provides access to see thread formation in the coronal portion of the socket following use of cortical tap. Bone harvested from osteotomy is placed in the remaining buccal socket (Fig.1). No immediate provisional is fabricated following suturing. Instead periodontal dressing is applied. The bone at #14 is also high. A cortical tap is used.
