The second advantage of immediate implant at #4 is that there is wider bone buccal and palatal (Fig.1, as compared to delayed one at #13 (Fig.2)). The diameter of these 2 implants is the same (3.5 mm). In fact a 5.5 mm bone profile drill is used to trim the distal crest.
