A prominent feature of implant failure in this case is pain.  The patient feels that the pain is from the base of the nose.  She thinks that the implant is placed into the nasal cavity.  PA taken 3 days postop shows that the implant (3.8x14 mm) is inferior to the nasal floor (Fig.2 red ^).
