Fig.9,10 are coronal sections of CBCT through the distal root of the lower right and left 2nd molars (7) of a 56-year-old Chinese lady, respectively. The lingual concavity (<) is minimal (Type I). With finger guidance, it is safe to place a 5.3x8 mm bone-level tapered implant (Fig.9,10). Red dashed lines indicate the upper border of the inferior alveolar nerve (N) canal.
