It was so wonderful to see you and your family. I appreciate so much your taking the time to come for my special event!!! And, I wish I could have spent a lot more time with you. I loved having the chance to meet your daughter and am so very flattered that you would like her to follow in my footsteps. I have had a magical career and that is largely because of the chance to include wonderful people like you in my scientific family.

I will always treasure the scarf that you gave me -- it it so beautiful!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for it, for your sweet comments on Monday evening, and for being part of my life.
