No Tooth No Bone
Every of our teeth is as previous as diamond. Take care of it when it lasts. When it is gone, we lose not only chewing power, but also the bone used to support the tooth (Figure: *). The bone shrinks (arrows) when we do not use it.
When Marian was going to lose a bottom tooth, she chose an implant (I) for replacement. In the last 2.5 years, she has been able to eat normally with the aid of a partial denture. More importantly, there is no sign of bone shrinkage around the implant tooth.
