How to Correct Posterior Overjet Associated with Class II Malocclusion?

A 12-year-8-month-old man has Class II Division I malocclusion (Fig.1,3,5,7,9).  Orthodontic treatment involves extraction of two of the upper 1st bicuspid and lasts 1 year 10 months.  The final result is Class I for canine, Class II for molar (Fig.4).  Unexpected is posterior overjet at the 2nd bicuspid and 1st molar (Fig.6, as compared to Fig.5).  How to correct or prevent it?

Compress upper arch wires, while expand lower arch wires posterior.
