For the 1st photo, ask the patient to "relax" (Fig.1), not "close the lips" (Fig.1'). If the upper anterior teeth are protrusive, take one with the lips in relaxation and the other with lips to close to show lip strain. For face photos, use the regular lens, not macro ones. Remind the doctor to take out the latter if he forgets to. Take the facial photos slightly large, i.e., closer to the patient, as long as the ears are shown (Fig.1').
