The upper arch is more rounded one month of orthodontic treatment (Fig.4'). UR1 rotation (Fig.4) is corrected (Fig.4'). The rotation wedge was removed; power chain was placed between U1s to close the diastema and make room for UR2 to move labially.
If there is a diastema between UL1 and 2 and there is not enough room for UR2 next appointment, consider using power chains between UR1 and UL3 (The statement is proposed on 10/06/2013. Why to involve UL3?). Did we do it today (11/09/2013, Fig.4'')? There is a space between UL1 and 2 (<). The arch wire is not fully engaged in the mesial bracket of the UR2 (^). Nobody reviewed the case before the last appointment. We should not miss it again next visit.
In fact, the patient returned earlier, because UL 5 bracket was loose. There were still spaces among UL 1-3 (Fig.4''': ^). The arch wire did not engage completely into the mesial slot of UR2 bracket (<). Therefore, power chains were placed among UR1-UL3 using the latter as an anchorage. It is hoped that UR2 will get extra space mesially for rotation correction.
