A 24-year-old woman with poor oral hygiene presents to clinic requesting extraction of the tooth #17 (Fig.1). The tooth is removed after multiple sectioning. One half of collagen plug is placed in the bottom of the socket (Fig.2 C, while 1 cc of Bond Apatite in the coronal portion of the socket (A). The other half of the collagen plug is placed on the top of the cement before suturing with 4/0 PGA. The patient feels pain when the tooth is wiggled heavily. But the Inferior Alveolar Canal is not exposed when the tooth is out.
