Fabrication of Tap Drills
- Fabricate a tap drill corresponding to each implant
- Diameter of the tap is .25 or .5 mm smaller than the implant
- The handle of the tap is marked with 3 black bands, the same way as
implant driver, to help choose abutment cuff (Fig.1,4)
- The shanks of the tap are long and short (Fig.2,3)
- For easy X-ray taking, make 2-piece tap (tap (Fig.5,6) and drivers
(Fig.7))
- There is a recipient site inside the tap (Fig.5 white dashed line)
- To see 2 and 4 mm marks in X-ray, fabricate 2 slots in the tap (Fig.6 >)
- Fabricate latch type and wrench-type drivers (long and short, Fig.7)
