Long Implant Without Invade Sinus

A 59-year-old woman is interested in implant in the upper left quadrant because of open margin at #11 (distolingual with food impaction, Fig.1).  The bridge will be sectioned between #12 and 13.  The retainer will be removed from #11 for exploration.  Impression has been taken for restorative stent.  The patient reports that she has early osteoporosis, although there is no severe buccopalatal width deficiency at #12.  She loves chewing tough food.  Use Magic Split for access and test of bone density, followed by 1.6 mm drill or 3 mm Magic Expander.  A 15 mm long implant appears not to be able to violate the integrity of the sinus floor (Fig.2).
